Skypup, no ongoing chemo for me. I finished in Feb. and the tumor was still there so did another round of SBRT in March. After that I was admitted to the hospital in horrible pain in my left lung(the one they did SBRT on). I had a difficult time coming back from that. My main side effects are joint pain in the mornings along with headaches and neuorpathy in my big toes and fingers. I am so tired all of the time that I can't get much of anything done. It's really all I can do to get up in the morning and take my shower. I have to rest for about 2 hours before I even think of doing anything. I did start acupuncture about a month ago. I go 3 times a week and it does seem to help a little. The only problem is that my insurance doesn't cover it so I'm having to pay for it out of pocket. I'm going to continue as long as I can but I wont be able to do it forever.I'm happy with stable but terrified that it wont stay that way.

Ah, Tammy, I remember now. Chemo brain strikes again. I'm sorry for the rough go. May you have stable for a long time and get more good days!

Unplanned PET scan coming up on Saturday.

Had CT two weeks ago as had a little bit of discharge out of my surgical wound and they wanted to make sure no fluid build up. That was all good but something on the liver. They are not sure if it is post surgery trauma or new met :(

So soon after mammoth surgery and only one round of chemo will be devastating :(

So today onc. said We will do PET and see .... Hoping and praying and maybe these chickens might come in handy :)

On the upside today I felt the best I have felt since surgery in July ..... Almost normal and it felt sooooo good.

Just finished at the onc. CEA not back yet but CT was whistle clean - no thingies to watch, just the boring gallstone and post-surgical/radiation tissue changes that were there last time. This was my 2 year scan so it was kind of a big one. :D :D :D

So happy and relieved! Gonna party tonight 8)

Praying hard for great results for everyone coming up.

Now Pete has a CT scan and petscan scheduled for the 22nd.
Is this a normal? I don't recall him going through this before now. He is 6 months into HAI chemo and systemic.
Last week his CEA finally went down 4.4 points. He is gaining a lot of weight and is having trouble getting a deep breath he says. I am not sure if it is the weight increase causing that. His color is good.
Thank you, Celeste

Chest and abdominal CT on the 29th, have not yet scheduled appointment to see the oncologist. I'm not looking forward to this one because it will tell if the Stivarga is working. If not, where do www go now? CEA has jumped from 24 to 40 but could be because of brain tumor.

My scan postponed until 19th due to an insurance mess up .... Oh well, I wait!

Tough week for me. It would have been my sons birthday tomorrow. He would have been 20 and it is the anniversary of his death on the 21st. Always a sad time of rememberance for me. You get through but you never get over it. He was a brave beautiful boy.

And then chemo tomorrow and scan Friday.

I would like to crawl into my warm bed and stay there until this week is done.
