Thank you kind wonderful people of the colon club. I don't know what I would do with out you. The lymph node by the aorta could not be removed. They created four new passageways without a colostomy. I am still in the hospital and and in pain. I will let you know more when I know more. I'm attached to a wound vac again.

Love & Hugs,
Christine

Good to hear from you Christine. It stinks you are still in pain. Damn it! It sounds like they did a lot of work in there. Hooray no colostomy!
I hope they're taking good care of you! Try to get some rest.
In peace, Celeste

Good to hear from you Christine :)

Sorry to hear that you are in pain - I guess some pain is be expected with that kind of surgery but you shouldn't have to suffer through it. Make sure that your nurses are aware and that they give you something to make you more comfortable. Don't wait until the pain gets too bad before you let them know - they should be able to manage your pain and keep on top of it. Regular pain meds should be given. Unfortunately, many nurses and doctors do not seem to manage their patients pain very well.

All the best to you Christine for your recovery. Thinking of you.
