Stable PET scan

Postby NWgirl » Tue Aug 19, 2014 1:59 pm

Not sure why CEA jumped but scan is stable. No new growths or significant increases. I'll take it!

great news! Remember way back in the day when we weren't happy with stable and wanted shrinkage...but this many years later, it's something to be celebrated for sure! :)

Great news. Yes, "stable" used to be cold porridge, but now, stable = more time on the planet, something I'm grateful to have.

I've been wondering about you, Belle, as we're following similar trajectories in our battle. It always gives me encouragement to hear you're doing well, and I expect you feel the same way about my results.

We're pretty lucky, I think. Last night, following chemo, trying to get to sleep, instead of counting sheep, I tried to remember and count the number of Colon Club friends dx'd after me who have since died. I fell asleep at 25, but there are many, many more. A toast to stability, my friend.

As my onc would tell me, "Stable is very good." I had been wondering about your scan but didn't want intrude in case it was bad. This result goes on my thankful list! Now, you can enjoy the rest of the summer and the craziness of kids getting ready for school to start.

God bless ~
