I had an ileostomy at the time I joined, soon to be reversed.

I do that too, except now days, it doesn't eventually wind up in a bag.

my first family and friend when i moved to Hawaii was the sweetest bishon who i called Pukalani...who also died of cancer when my hubby was diagnosed...(pukalani = hole of heaven in Hawaiian) and i just added the a to make it sound Bulgarian :)

When I was in college I had a friend who gave me the nickname manders. My real name is Amanda and I have never cared for nicknames but thought manders made a decent screen name.

jacek was a caracter from Chehoslovakian cartoon when I was a little girl, it was a BOY, but my father started to cal me jacek - in our language it is for a boy, so children from my class added -ica, and now it is feminine form of jacek, so jacekica......thank you schoolfriends, frist 2 or 3 years I was jacek :mrgreen:

I grew up not being very impressed with my name until I read the Arthurian tales and realized my given name is a form of Guinevere so that's how I got my crown, er, user name. ;)
