Ever have those days where you know.......

Postby KWT » Fri Jul 25, 2014 6:41 pm

You're F@&$ED? I'm having one today my daughter keeps asking when I'm going to get better. She's very perceptive for a ten year old. I hope dr. Lin can give me some optimistic words.

My son feels your pain. He decided to go on annual father son fishing trip to uclulet bc. He got there and realized he shouldn't have gone. Pain is awful even with 2 morphine and 10 to 14 Norco pills. Can't sit in a car so we booked a flight for him to come home. ...ugh cancer takes so much.
Heard great things about dr. Lin. Will be thinking of you and hoping it's great news

Thank you, I'm sorry you're son was unable to continue on the fishing trip. Hopefully there will be many more.

Kenny - check out this camp. My kids are going to the Oregon one in August. It may be too late to sign up for this year, but get on their list for next year. Obviously it doesn't solve all our problems, but it's something we can do for our kids to help them cope. And it's free.

This camp is awesome. Teach them the skills to handle this & just get away to have some fun at the same time. Kenny, there must be support groups, etc out there if you think your daughter would benefit. Our son is 28 & it's hard even at that age. I worry because he's an only child & wants to be the tower of strength for his dad & I both. Sigh... It's so hard. Just know we're here for you Kenny.

Yes, Kenny, yes I do...

And then comes the odd day when I wake up and think, "Hey, today is a good day."

One foot in front of the other time... Dr Lin seems to have the best handle on CRC.

Yup! But most days I try to remember that I have poured my life into my little ones since the day they were born. Even if I bite it, they are going to be ok! And even if I didn't have this stupid cancer, I could have walked outside and been hit by a truck. My kids are better off with at least this much warning. But Im going to be just fine! God has good plans for me still
