My last post

Postby Nester » Sat Jul 19, 2014 10:17 am

Dear Friends,

I couldn't believe how things turned so bad for the worse.
I knew someday it could come but i couln't imagine things were running sooo fast.

I got the response of a meeting including surgeons, oncologists, pain therapy doctors, iternists, radiologists . The meeting included the highest persons of the biggest milan hospital to discuss my case which run more than one hour.

They reviewed my scans , and the 3 one taken when i had an obstruction, the result is that the obscrutions happened in 3 different point, meaning the disease even if not visible has spread to all my abdomen.

Hence surgery is not an option, they think the disease has spread to all the lining of my peritoneum and there's no surgical benefit that can solve the situation.
With all these frequent blockages, even chemo or trials are not an option anymore , as i cannot have blockages during the therapy.

So my oncologists and doctors came to me to give me the most unexpected and devastating news.

My only card left is currently hospice. And my current life expectance is measurable in weeks, maybe one month.

I'm very sorry to post this news, i'm hearbroken , my plans as a 30 years old boy and my serenity has currently fell down the toilet and they even flushed it.

I'm trying to get other opinions but all the other doctors seems to be hopeless as well.

As far i don't want to live the last weeks with a blockage in pain and actually with my mind blurred by the meds, i prefer to end it quicker and sooner.
I'm really greateful for all the support that this forum has given to me , and i really appreciate it.

I love you all , i really found the most heatwarming and amazing fighters on this forum, and i'm so sorry to leave you.

Wherever i will be , i will look upon you and i will be supporting somehow if i can to handle and make this disease curable. So many had left us, this is so unfair.

A big hug an a big kiss to all of you ......
Your dearest friend Marco.

Tears are running down my face. I don't want to believe this. I don't even know what to say. You are way to young.
You have been such a kind and supportive person on the forum. Marco you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Your post is making me feel literally sick and do not have words to express my sadness. I've read all of your posts during my brief membership on this forum and you will be so very much missed. I prayer for you to learn of other options and that your pain is limited. I just don't know what else to say other than we all love and support you! Please feel my hugs and tears!!

Oh Marco. This is indeed the most horrible news. I have no idea what to say. You are loved very dearly here, and in such a short time. You've implied that you may decide to put your fate in your own hands. Whatever you must do, may God be with you and surround you with extraordinary, complete love and peace. You will live on in our hearts, Marco.

Love,

Bev

I am devastated to read this. You are such a positive presence here. I am hoping and praying the doctors are wrong and some other explanation will be found. If this however is what must be then I hope for a painless release to you my friend.

Dearest Marco,

Sometimes angels appear on this forum, and when they do it is obvious from their very first post. You are one such angel. I am beyond sorry to read your news. I do know doctors have been wrong before, and I will hold out hope and a prayer that your body is able to perform its own miracle. But I don't want to blow smoke, either, and so I wish you godspeed on your journey, if that is how it has to be. Please do keep looking over us and I hope to meet you in heaven (whatever that is.) And, yes, you are too damn young to go.

Much love, much respect, much sadness,
Theresa/skypup

Oh Marco,
This is so terrible, this makes me very, very sad. In your picture you look so much like my little brother did 25 years ago, I sometimes stare in disbelief at the resemblance and this makes my sadness even worse. I hope that hospice can help you have some quality time and some tranquility. A big kiss on your forehead dear boy.

Marco,
As I have had blockages, and a bladder that didn't want to function, at the same time, I can only imagine what pain you are enduring. The pain medications do not help at all. I wish you peace " wherever you will be" and I want you to know you have been a great help to many people you do not even know. Please know there is a better place than on this earth, and I hope to meet you, when I get there.
Warm regards,
Michael
