I just haven't been able to bring myself to post until now. Ashlee and Kathryn were so strong, so helpful and supportive, despite their stage in this "journey". They were the first ones to respond to my first post and I thought of them as the "Wise ones" and now I feel a bit lost....sorry for getting dramatic. Bless you and rest in Peace, Ashlee.

We thank God for Ashlee/ Judy sharing life with us during this difficult journey. May she rest in comfort.
I would have never thought that an online group could become a close community, like the Club has become.
'Never imagined that I would be moved by words typed on a computer screen.
Peace to all.

Such SAD news.
I am so very sorry to hear of another loss to this beast.

Someone recently had a post, and lit candles for Val's hubby
and added one for those in the fight, one for caregivers, and one for those that have gone before him.

I thought it was such a beautiful thought, I bought a set of 4 white battery candles and put them in my bedroom fireplace with flowers.
They come on every night at 10 and stay on 6 hours. It brings me peace when I am laying in bed drifting off to the blab on the TV

my heartfelt condolences, again

Hello friends,

I got a lovely e-mail from Ashlee's friend Marsha today. Her memorial service was just as she wanted it. I guess about 125 people came to celebrate her life and their friendship with her. Marsha is going to be sending me the video that was shared at her service, and a video of the service itself. I'll ask one of the technical geniuses here to load them for me when I get them.

I am so, so lonely for her, and having real issues believing it real...I think of calling her several times a day. Sheesh....cancer sucks. JUST.THAT.

the finality of death is difficult to digest. After my son died I was convinced I could turn back time. I was also convinced I could get him back. In an abstract way, this is truth - at least my truth. I go back in time a lot with memories that are at times so very real-time. And I know he is with me, still, always.

And there are those I never met, Gloria, Debzak, Ezra, Ashlee... I don't want to let go of them either. Their words had a hug impact on me. Selfishly, I continue to draw from their wisdom and their guidance.
