I post so that newcomers will know there are many of us who come through this.
6 years ago I wore the pump continuously and drove myself every morning to the Radiation Onc. Until I sit to write this I don't even recall those times.
I went for my once-a-year visit with my Onc this week and just got my blood results in the mail: "All Great" he penciled. He spent all of 3 minutes with me in his office.
Never requires scans of me. CEA is 1.6
I went from Stage 3 to Cured.
I have lived to see 2 granddaughters born and other son get married. And to be working too hard still. But life is a great gift from God. After looking death in the face we realize that we have to live life every day. Enjoy what we have. Life is good.
10 days ago we celebrated Annual Survivors Day at the Cancer Survivors Park. 14,739,565 Americans are alive today with a history of serious cancer because they didn’t give up hope and fought their disease.

I have a long prayer list now, which includes many who have cancer. Currently there are local 2 friends who are going through treatments who we need to visit. I feel a real need to visit.
Many of you in the Club have done much greater service than I; I honor you.
