Feeling like things aren't too good!

Postby LKGower » Mon Jun 09, 2014 11:38 am

Hi all,

Well the last few weeks I feel like my health has been declining massively :(

I have starting noticing bits of blood in my phlegm, feeling very nauseated, urine is dark yellow and now my eyes are yellowish. I guess the cancer is finally taking a toll on my liver.

I don't start chemo till next week.. I'm so desperate to get back on it and praying it works to give me more time!

I have finally found an immunotherapy trial close to home, so when I speak to my oncologist on Thursday I'll be asking him to start whatever paperwork is necessary to get into this trial.

I just can't believe how fast things have turned to shit in the past 6 months! I've been feeling so depressed lately :(

It's actually my 30th bday today and yet I'm already feeling unwell..argh screw you cancer for ruining my life!

Dear Lisa, I join you in flipping a big bird to cancer. I wish you a good birthday in some form or fashion, from this heart to yours. I just hate it that you are feeling your health slip away and I am sending prayers and hopes that a trial helps!

Lisa, I was just getting online to wish you a happy birthday... I was waiting for it to be June 10th in Australia :)

Lisa, I'm glad you have found an immunotherapy trial but I have to tell you, please, go to the hospital now... you can't be with those symptoms unchecked even for some more hours!
I'm giving you such a massive hug, my girl..

Hi lisa,

You should rush to the Er, as you might have a biliary blockage.
All what you describe seems to be a liver failure, and it's quickly, you might feel dizzy or hallucinated if your bilirubin gets too high.

Let us know.
Hope you'll get better soon.

Aww thanks guys!

I was thinking of making a trip up there but didn't see the point of it being on a weekend.. They wouldn't be able to do anything for me until Tuesday (today) as we just finished having a long weekend over here. I actually have an app with my pain dr today so I am going to speak to my nurse and tell her about my symptoms. I just can't believe how busy they are at the cancer centre :/ we tried to get me in early into 2 other hospitals as well and got the same answer!

I will admit though, I am running very scared :( it just isn't fair!

Lisa,
So sorry you're not feeling well that's a crappy birthday present. I'm with you on the feeling depressed and life isn't fair.physically I'm feeling ok but my mind is in the black hole and can't get out. I hope you can get your clinical trial and things get better for you.

Lisa,
What a crappy birthday! At least you've cheated cancer of taking that from you! I'm praying they can get you into the hospital and see if there's something they can do about your liver.

God bless ~

We share our birthday, i am 64 today. Like you, I am also stage 4. I now have lung mets that double in size every 3 months. I stopped all treatments in February and scan again in late June right now, I feel good and staying active. Don't worry over things that you don't have control over. Remember that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. You have strengths that you haven't tapped into yet. Frenchie

I agree with Nester on this one. Those are dangerous symptoms not to be trifled with. I'd get it checked out ASAP.

Thanks everyone for your kind words :)

I just spoke to my nurse, so up to the hospital I go :/
I don't know what they will be able to do for me, they've already said an operation is out of the question cause there's too much spread outside the liver :(

It's just so hard to deal with.. I was so positive before that I was going to beat this but since they found out it was in my chest lymph nodes and that they couldn't do anything surgical, well that just totally crushed me :(

I will keep you all in the loop about what the doctors say today.

Thanks again :) love you all! Big hugs xx

Now concentrate on the symptoms of a high bilirubine... Then you will start the trial and it could bring unexpected good news.
Please update us about both situation.
