Today, June 2nd I turned 68. Last week had annual colonoscopy and an upper endoscopy. No polyps or suspicious areas. This marks 11 years NED from stage III colon cancer.

8/26/13 HIPEC, colon resection,hysterectomy, appndx, gallbladder out.
9/12/13:leak in colon, temp. loop ileost, home 9/18
11/3/13: liver resect.
1/2014 Ostomy reversal, one week later, abcess surg., fistula, tpn.
No more chemo, NED since 11/13
7 months chemo, shrinkage!

Just joined this site yesterday. I will be 50 on June 9th. I was supposed to have another resection on June 5th but it was postponed to June 20th. My grandfather God Bless him just turned 95 on June 2. Due to my illness/ hospitalized I was unable to attend his milestone birthday, my son's graduation on June 3 (they live in Pa.) and
my sister's funeral who recently passed away on her birthday who battled melanoma for 14 long years; diagnosed at 28 and died at 42. (Lived in NJ)
Happy Birthday to all of you in June and God Bless us ALL!!!!!

Spent my bday last year talking to my onc about chemo radiation and overall treatment. What crappy day.
This year I will spend my birthday a week after my last infusion, so yay, chemo will be done but blah, I will still feel like crap.
But July I go to Vegas (hopefully) to celebrate "end of treatment"... Really looking forward to that!
