He May Not Make It Through The Night ...

Scott has gone from going to the business expo yesterday to possibly leaving us yet tonight. Unbelievable. Home hospice came and suggested residential hospice over home due to how quickly my beautiful husband was going downhill. She was floored. He went from walking to the bathroom (with me hovering him of course) and being able to empty his own colostomy bag etc in the morning, to not even being able to stand by the early afternoon. The hospice lady came at about 2:00 to sign him up and never left until an inpatient facility was located and the ambulance came which wasn't until about 8:00. That lady was an absolute Godsend. My kids are amazing and we are all going to miss Scott dearly. This is sooooo hard but it is now my job to help him have a peaceful and pain free death and that it was I plan to do. I have been so lucky to call him mine for the last 20+ years. He has spoiled me rotten for years and I miss him already.

Please pray for a gentle passing for my sweet husband. Please pray for strength, peace, and acceptance for me and my kids.

Although I wish that things were different it sounds like he is in good hands. The way in which you care for and love your husband is beautiful.
