Anyone have such a weird neuropathy issue? It just started... I've been on oxaliplatin since December and due to get my last dose on Monday (HURRAH!).

I feel a zinging sensation simultaneously in both ankles every couple of minutes. weird eh?!

I remember my husband referring to "electrocution" type feelings when his neuropathy started.

Yeah, that sounds similar to what I started feeling around treatment #8. It was like a pulsating/throbing sensation, somewhat like being 'zapped' every minute or so. That was the start of my neuropathy symptoms, so I got a reduced dose of oxaliplatin for treatments 9,10 and 11 and it was completely taken out for treatment #12.

I'm now 6 weeks post-chemo and unfortunately neuropathy hasn't stopped getting worse yet. I'm hoping it will start getting better soon, but so far It's mostly an annoyance (albeit a big one) that I can handle.

Make sure to mention to your onc before your next treatment.

My neuropathy started about 5 days after my last chemo treatment and has gotten worst since then. It's liveable but while sitting still my feet and legs are always buzzing. My oncologist said the symptom while be gone in 8 weeks, well 8 weeks is tomorrow, it's not happening. My GP said maybe in a year. So like everyone else, I'm dealing with it. Heard acupuncture helps a lot..will be looking into it. Since my meds aren't helping at all.

I've had both feet feeling zapped at the same time but not my ankles. I know I hate it when that happens as I imagine you do too!

God bless ~

Had all sorts of weird stuff. Zinging in hands when bending head down. Lost all taste. Numbness in hands and feet to the point of not being able to button my buttons. Off chemo for 5+ months now and all symptoms greatly improved. So yes, all sorts of side effects.
