Thank you everyone.

Congratulations on the ten years. I can remember following your progress. You were stage 3 rectal with 6/13 nodes involved and I was stage3 colon with 6/13 nodes involved so we had a lot in common. I ended year 15 in Jan. There is something magic about the ten year mark . Hope life is being kind to you and that you are not suffering too many long term side effects of treatment,,,,Ron.

You have been an inspiration to me. I remember when you hit the 10 yr mark. I was hoping (and) praying then I would also see that day also.

I've told that PCP, thank you more than once. When he gave me the referral, it took about 3 months to see the GI doc. On the way out of the appt with the GI doc (on a Tuesday), they just got a cancellation and the nurse gave me first dibs on it (for that Friday). I said sure, let's do it and I put this behind me. Boy was I wrong!!!

Few days later, DH was seeing that same PCP and told him of my diagnoses (he had not received info yet). DH said that PCP turned white as a ghost with the news. NOT what he was expecting to hear.

I have a brother and my father that didn't make it. I have no idea why I was spared. I assume it has to do with advanced treatment. I heard the dreaded "you have colon cancer" in Oct of 2012 My dad died in "86 and my brother in "93. Back then treatment was very different.

Congratulations Lee! What wonderful news. On a side note, my aunt's operation for stage 3 cervical cancer was 23 years ago today. I love survivor stories!

Lee, Congratulations and THANKS!
Your story has been a comfort to me since early on.
You have been an inspiration to many in the Club.

People can take heart that 10 years is more common.
I have 2 family friends who are over 20 years since the clean-up of their Colon Cancers.

Lee, May God grant you 10 X 10 more years!
