This is a weird year for COC - so many of my friends aren't able to make it - different reasons for everyone - but all have valid reasons. :(

As someone who has had a lot of these blockages, I completely sympathize with what you are going through. They are so painful and awful. Hopefully this will resolve on its own quickly and you'll be able to make it this weekend. Mostly, I just want your blockage to resolve and for you to feel better. Seeing you on Sunday would be a bonus.

Can my grilled chicken for dinner count as honorary swingers? If so, count them In your honor as well.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Dianne

Hi, it's Kathy. Still in hospital but doc thinks NG tube will do the job. He wants to get me to Washington, D.C. As much as I want to go. He is optimistic . Just bored now and can't get my computer working here. Thanks for the well wishes.

Wishing you a speedy resolution....I've been hospitalized 7 times for SBO's....they are very painful....and the NG tube is a torture device from hell. These generally clear in a few days....then some residual abdominal discomfort for 3-5 days...;then back to normal !!

Bored means feeling better I hope. I'm crossing my fingers that you can bust out of there in time for COC. Crossing my toes too.

Hi, it's Kathy. The NG tube is out and I just had a gourmet breakfast of clear liquids. The doctor says I will probably be able to go to Washington, D.C. But my husband is very nervous. He is worried about my stamina. The first 2 days are at the hotel and i figure adrenalin will get me thru capital hill. Am I being delusional?

Rent a wheelchair and get a good cushion. You should be good to go if the rest of you feels up to travelling. An electric cart or wheelchair might make it even easier but I don't know what could be available to rent. Thank you for going the extra mile to try to advocate for your fellow CCers!!

God bless ~
