Sad News- Debzak

Postby Kathy » Sat Feb 15, 2014 3:37 pm

I just received word that Debzak passed away this morning. I last heard from her last Saturday when she came home from her last stay at Sloan. In my five years on the Colon Club, I have never seen such an aggressive cancer. Our hearts are with her family, especially for her two daughters. Funeral is tomorrow.

I am so sorry to hear this news. What an awful situation. I didn't realize how bad it was for her. Goes to show you how horrendous this disease is. It just seems like constant bad news this year. My prayers are with Debbi and her family. I pray she is at peace and pain free.

I'm stunned. That's just terrible and so sad for her family and of course us here. I remember her writing about their Disney trip. I'm sure glad she got to go and have those memories. I truly hope her family is ok. I'd gotten the impression that they didn't quite see how serious it could be. Rest in peace Deb. Sure wish you could've beat it.

Aww, so sad. I have been thinking of her - fearing the worst, but hoping she was ok. It was so quick towards the end. My heartfelt and deepest sympathy to her husband, girls and all her loved ones. She will be missed. RIP dear Debbi.

I am so, so sad to read this. I had the pleasure of meeting Deb and her husband a couple of months ago in the Sloan waiting room. We had a time to talk for awhile and they headed out to their favorite soup place. My heart is aching for her husband, Bruce, and their children. She was so worried about her condition-- nothing ever seemed to improve. She was a sweetie and I am in shock that she is gone, as much as I understood that she was very, very ill.
