Hello All,
I detest posting this, but wanted to wait until I had discussed this with Kathryn before posting here. She wanted me to let her friends here know the following:
As someone else mentioned, Kathryn was discharged from the hospital in time to share Christmas with her husband Bruce and all of her children. She's posted lots of comments on Facebook about the wonderful times she has had with them.
Kathryn was discharged to Hospice care. Her oncologists feel she is too ill for any further treatment. It is not entirely clear if the duodenal cancer is a new primary or metastatic disease from the CRC, but that matters little. She has asked me to say that she is not expected to live very long.
I am sickened to even type this. So many of us know Kathryn very well, and love her so dearly. She is a warrior like few others, and I wouldn't put anything past her, including, once again, showing her doctors wrong. She has asked NOT to be called, but I believe welcomes messages that DO NOT require responses. She is very, very tired.
