Dear Kathryn,

I am so sorry - this sucks big time. It just doesn't seem fair. I don't know what to say - only that you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I don't have Facebook but I hope that you are comfortable and that your docs have a plan of action. Sending you love and warmest wishes across the miles.

Hello Friends,

I am friends with Kathryn on Facebook. She has been really sick with crazy lab work, horrible GI pain, ascites and bilateral pleural effusions, and, apparently a bunch of confused doctors. She is reporting now that they have identified a THIRD primary cancer in her--duodenum (small intestine, just below the stomach) cancer. I don't know that a plan has been worked out yet. Her kids are getting in to town for the holidays, which she is so glad about, of course.

She could really use all of our strongest best wishes and prayers, and a whole truckload of swinging chickens.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.
