I've been thinking about you and George, Angie. It seems like a long time ago, then it seems like it just happened. I am positive your dad is smiling down from heaving on you, your sister and your mom. You ladies continue to make him proud!

Thinking of you Angie. I know your father is so proud.

I think of you often too Janet. I hope you feel Lauren watching over you as well. I know she was a very impressive person from how you've described her. I imagine her doing lots of good stuff in heaven.

Wow, Angie, I can't believe it's been a year. You were such a blessing to your dad, and such a loving presence through his illness and the end of his life. I hope you'll always treasure the time you had with him, and always feel proud of everything you did for your parents while he was sick.

These kinds anniversaries are always tough, Angie. Vivant believe it's been a year either. Time, inexorably, marches on and, some days, all we can do is hold on, grit our teeth and get through it. I your good memories are outweighing the bad.

God bless ~

Thinking of you, your sister and your mother. This first yrs can be so rough.

I lost my dad many yrs ago, and while life goes, a part of him is always with me. Through you, your dad will continue to live. I know he must be very proud of you.

I forgot to tell you about my mom! She's doing ok. I text her throughout the day and skype with her when I get home. One of her sisters in Europe who also lives alone skypes with her daily too. My dad's closest brother goes over every Saturday after church with his wife to keep her company, like they use to do when my dad was alive. He keeps me updated on her... I think so that I can concentrate on my studies. She of course was upset on the anniversary, and I couldn't go home, but my uncle stayed with her all day so that was nice of him. She is still running 3-4 times a week and keeps herself busy cleaning, cooking, and knitting. She's a strong woman. I wish I could be there for her more, but she is happy hearing about what I'm doing in the hospital everyday, especially when babies are involved, so I keep going for her. Emily skypes and texts from Nashville, too. Mom is going to visit her in February and will stay with her for a week or two, so she is looking forward to that! Thanks for asking!

And to everyone else, thanks for the thoughts and encouragement!

Thanks so much, Angie, for sharing about your mom. She is blessed to have so many people keep in touch with her. Yes, it is good to keep busy and going on with life. My grandkids keep me motivated and I am getting more active in our parish again. God bless you as you continue on your path!
