A suggestion that may or may not help you (depending on insurance coverage) - see if you can get your chemo on Thursday or Friday, so you can do disconnect at home, rather than having to go in for it (conserve your energy), and ALSO have them give you IV fluids at disconnect (and IV antiemetics if you need them).

Also, taking a week break around the half-way point helps a lot of us get through the rest. Have you considered it? An extra week for your body to get a bit stronger again can be very helpful. Keep counting down.

Hang in there, Tammy!
My husband is having a tough time as well, so I can kind of get what you are going through.
I'm going to suggest he look into IV fluids as well.

one of these chemo's STRIPS all magnesium to point 9--- Makes it hard on the heart. I get 3 oz mag every Wednesday and started over the counter Mag pills with protein. With the Mag imbalance you feel really tired! Ask Onc doc to take a baseline and watch it! :)

Tammy,
The way you get through treatment is the way I do it as well...it's only for a short time or I can do anything for a little while. Those are the words that help me put one foot in front of the other when I don't feel I can.

God bless ~

Hi Tammy - I'm sorry to hear that you are having so many problems with your chemo. Can you remind me what treatment you are currently on? Is it still "FOLFOX, minus the OXI, plus the Avastin" ? If so, which part of the combo do you think is causing all the problems? Tnx
