Next generation pdt

Postby Cb75 » Fri Nov 01, 2013 10:43 am

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of pdt or next generation pdt? Pdt has been shown to be effective for cancers close to the surface. Next generation pdt is theoretically bake to reach deeper areas of the body. I am looking into whether it is effective for lungs. Here is a link

It is used in china and now Australia.

I have some knowledge of pdt (photodynamic therapy). I worked with different photosensitizers in the lab with cell cultures here in the US and in one French cancer center. One of the major problems with photosensitizers is that they do not have preferential accumulation in tumors. It means that many normal cells are damaged contributing to side effects. However, I have not worked in this area for 10 years now. They might developed drugs that are better than old generation drugs.
