Dear Ritu,
I remember your posts from before. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and so glad that your father's passing was peaceful and that he was surrounded by loving family.
From what you wrote before, your father sounds like he was an amazing person. My heart goes out to you. It is so random that someone with exemplary self-discipline and health is struck with colorectal cancer, in a country where it is not even a common illness. I guess there is nothing one can do about the hand one is dealt, but you and your family played that hand with tremendous courage. I am sure that your father's health and discipline--as well as your staying informed and proactive about his treatment--gave him the gift of extra years with you.
Your last thread blew me away. You were so calm and so courageous and articulated the details of your father's treatment so well, and were even concerned with helping others with metastatic cancer. Even now, you encourage others. Without ever having met you, I can see that your father lives in you.
Hugs, and best wishes.
