Sorry the news wasn't better but hoping and praying that the chemo works for Steve. The treatment sounds tough but he has a great onc and team looking after him.

I'm assuming that it's Steve's daughter that has driven down to be with you. That's good, glad you have some company and someone to help. Make sure she does :D She must be worried about her dad and you too. Cancer sucks! Guess you don't need me to tell you that!

Thinking of you and sending all my love, swinging chickens.....the works!

Thanks, Michelle. It's may son's life, the wonderful Chelsie who has driven down. My (step) daughter Heather is coming for a few days on October 15. Its harder for her with the two munchkins, and she can bring them because all kids are little viral vectors (big time immunosuppression coming right up) :)

Hugs to you, Michelle!

What a lovely daughter-in-law she is....your son is special too, I know. You definitely wouldn't want little ones around, like you said, and you probably wouldn't get anything done either :D

Take care, Bev and I hope that you have managed to get some rest.

BIG HUGS to you!

Bev,

So sorry to read this. I do hope (and pray) the chemo is effective in killing off a lot of those nasty cancer cells. I'm glad to read your family will be helping you. At times like this, family is very important.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and Steve.

Well...I'm not a fan of projecting an expiration date, just hoping the chemo helps him and he has manageable side effects and good QOL.

Bev,
I'm so sorry the news wasn't better. You and Steve are in my thoughts. Having Steve's daughter there should be helpful with his care and getting ready for your move. Take care of yourself.
Jeff
Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.
