Yes, I told the surgeon I was a competitive runner so he said he would implant the pump deeper and stitch it down more securely. As far as I know, I'm the only person who had this done. I ran slower and for less distance when I had FUDR in the pump, but I increased my speed/miles when I went off treatment.
I love the idea of wearing some kind of secret identification so we recognize each other in the waiting area! I won't be there until the end of October, but I'll be sending good energy to all of you having scans, pump maintenance, consults, and treatment!
