I recently asked my oncologist if he had heard anything about this study, he mentioned that he had not. He sits on a research panel with this particular doctor, and there had been no recent mentioned. However, I was going to contact the surgeon directly to follow up. I haven't yet as I was looking into ADAPT first. I did ask my oncologist to advise me if he heard of anything.

I am currently on FOLFIRI and Avastin....

I'm so happy to hear that, Cynthia! :D Hopefully, that's the end of them!

Man, Kenny, I hope the IR dude can fry those suckers! I'll be rooting for you! Let me know how it goes.

I think that what Dianne said is very interesting as an approach, for you Carm but even for me as I find myself in the same boat more or less...
My current strategy is to check frequently while I'm on this antiangiogenic trial (hoping I'm taking nintedanib and not a placebo!), but the underlying idea is the same: delay chemo as much ad possible to keep the situation still and gain time, while others and potentially more effective trials are available or maybe another procedure is possible...
My feeling is that such an approach is the best with an indolent disease in this phase, but of course these are things to be carefully considered with our oncs.

PS
Carm, keep us updated on these very interesting trials of yours!
And about your decision as well.

Where is everyone going for RFA? My husband has one more lesion left in his RUL, 6mm, too small for SBRT, in a spot that might require a lobectomy - which seems crazy for a 6mm lesion - and have not had any discussions about RFA. Where is Dr. Solomon?
