My mom passed away on August 21 after her very courageous and difficult battle with cancer. Although this was not really unexpected, I can't say it was any easier when it actually happened. My only consolation is that she is now in a better place and no longer suffering. She was and will always remain the best mom one could ever wish for and I will always miss her terribly.
Although I've always been more of a lurker on this forum, it has been a great help for me over these incredibly difficult three and a half years. I learned a lot, I rejoiced when there was good news and I wept for those who left. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and keep up the fight.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Lilly. I lost my mom 10 years ago and still miss her, but I often feel as if she is with me.
Please take good care of yourself and plan some fun things. I know it may be too soon to do that now, but do it as soon as you can. Taking care of a very ill person drains a person. Your mom would want you to recover and find joy again.
