MY MAN MIKE <3

Postby Seriously, WTF? » Thu Aug 29, 2013 9:19 am

Someone, reached out to me yesterday, to see how Mike and I were doing. Thank you, so much to that special someone for remembering us, and thinking about my family!! Xoxo <3
I find it only fair, to share with all of you, the passing of MY MAN, MY SUPERMAN, Mike.
He passed away, on May 7, 2013.
He is missed every single day!! His passing came on very suddenly. A total WTF!!!!!! The big "C" showed its evil head, and literally took over! Mike was in the middle of chemo treatment, but when this happened, unfortunately, Mike had not a chance in hell of a fighting back this time! It took over him in days! It totally sucks!!!!!! I don't care how prepared you think you can be. When it happens it rocks your world like no other feeling you have ever had!!! I wish you all better tomorrows, and the happiest of days! You deserve only that!
XOXO
Kathy

I completely understand, and am so sorry for your loss.

My wife has been gone a little over a month now, and the sorrow and sense of loss seems to get worse, not better, as the days go by.

So much so that I find myself hanging around "Colon Club" just to see how others are doing.

We can only attempt to honor the memory of those we have loved, and lost.

Dearest Kathy,
I am so sorry to hear this news about your wonderful husband Mike. My prayers are with you and your family. You have been an incredible caregiver. I have thought of you and your husband, and wondered where you were. I have not been a participant lately on the forum. Trying to deal with my bump in the road as best as I can

Hugs,

Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss, it is hard t cope with such terrible and sudden eave. From my experience I know that we can not be prepared even if brain and docs and science tell you it is the road to heaven, and short one. When we love someone we are not prepared for separation.

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear about Mike's death. My husband passed away last November and I am still in active grieving. I hope that you and your family are finding some measure of peace on this journey and that you have people around you who are able to be of support.

You are very right, nothing can prepare us adequately for the chasm that is left when our loved one dies, I think especially if that person is the one who is your main emotional bond, be it spouse, parent, child, whoever. Part of you has truly disappeared and it takes a lot of time to learn how to live again with such a loss.
