Today was my first CT scan, without being incarcerated,( already in the hospital) full of drugs. I was feeling pretty good when I brought in my own fleece pants, and tee shirt, as I did not have to change into a gown with my butt hanging out. Funny the things you learn after $450,000.00 of treatment
Well previous to this I had only had PET scans on an outpatient basis. Oh yea, and a couple of colonoscopies and flex sigmoid tests. I got through the banana flavored barium drinks, yes that's plural, and did just fine with the iodine infusion. Feeling good I was only in the tube for a few minutes, instead of what seems to be an eternity with a PET scan, I got out of there and went to breakfast. I drank as much coffee as I could to wash down my omelet, toast and hash browns. In my wisdom, I did use the restroom before I left the restaurant. No one has ever stated on this forum, that barium and iodine is like Movieprep in reverse. If I had known that, I would have high tailed it home! So please forgive me for blaming y'all, but I'm damn sure making a record of it now
