Waaayyyyy... O/T

Postby CRguy » Fri Jun 28, 2013 9:29 pm

Ok slap me now...

just tendered my quasi "un"official request (with the department head) to be considered as a clinical Radiation Oncologist associate at a teaching hospital ...   ( just FYI... I AM qualified for this position...just trying to talk myself into doing it if they want me...)

My Dad is heading for a consult with a regional interventional radiation "honcho" making waves and BIG news for mesothelioma palliation therapy.

Guess I am caught up in the wave once again. My own scan results on the line next week, my Dad's just came back.
Oh shit we ARE the "nuclear" family once again !!!!!
What IS, not what if.

BUTT to be kicked in CR-land...names to be taken...
and the view... Never to be looked back upon, 'cos we are moving forward and back to the future !

Cheers to all on the continuing Journey.

Well, I'm not sure I always parse CR-speak very well, but I think best wishes are in order for a possible new job (but what about all those animals who need you???). And I hope your dad's scan was unremarkable. And I look forward to reading good news about your upcoming scan!

Cheers!

'Bout time you got a decent job, CRG. Maybe find a better class of friends, too.

Just kidding, of course. I'm sure you'll be an asset to the program and no doubt get some satisfaction out of helping others from your unique perspective.

Go get 'em, and good luck on the scans--both of them.

I'm so thrilled for you to have this opportunity, CR! I don't know why you think you might not be able to do this unless it's the emotional aspect of it since you'll know, to some extent, what the patients are going through. I have every confidence, though, that you'll be great at it and your experience will make you an above average rad onc associate.

God bless ~

AWESOME!!!

I hope you get this, with your own experience with cancer, you would add a person element to your students.
