7th Cancer Birthday Today

Postby helen098 » Thu Jun 06, 2013 1:18 pm

Can’t believe all of this time has passed, sometime it seems like yesterday i just was told well mabye it's just one or two cancers cells....by tomorrow it will be gone.

What to say that hasn’t been said before…..cancer has changed me (hopefully for the better)
I appreciated things a lot more, am more compassionate but have less patience with people who refuse to try (weather it’s illness or just general stuff) to improve themselves.
I have found support in the most unexpected places and from people I would never imagine

I can’t recall how many times something good or bad (cancer related or not ) has happened and my first thought was I have to share it will my colon club family. I post less and less the further out I get but at least once a week or more check in with my family to celebrate our victories (large and small) and mourn our losses. I want to thank everyone here for all of the support I have received throughout the years. My life is better for having know all of you. I can only hope I have helped a few others along the way.
I can only speak for myself I never would have wanted to have cancer (why would any sane person), I used to read articles about survivors and how there life was better and I used to think BS how could that possible be true. Well I now know firsthand just how true it is.

On today my 7th Birthday of my second life I want to thank all of you for everything and to look forward to bugging you guys for a very long time…. :D :D :D
