Hope today's more restful than yesterday was, Jeanette!! Sheesh!!

It's a beautiful day here today and supposed to get up to 90°! Had the heater on last day because of the chill in the air. Texas! If you don't like the weather, wait a little and it'll change.

Mouth sores and fatigue are the ongoing problems. Some of the sores in my mouth are better but there's a place on the front inside of my left cheek that just won't heal, for some reason. I'm doing all the things to make it better and most of the other places heal up on my off-chemo week but not that place. Such is the fun of cancer, I guess. I hope to see the Princess this evening. She's learning out to get her leg underneath her and flip over onto her back. It won't be long until she's mobile!

This is my 3000th post! I probably wouldn't have noticed but O Stoma Mio did and asked if I was going to celebrate with some pie. Sounds like an excellent idea to me! I hope you can find the blessings in this day.

God bless ~

thanks, brain came back today. Lost my glasses and knew I needed them to see (blind as a bat) so found my readers and moved some junk and found my glasses under the bed. Yahooo. didn't have to call for help.

today is crazy, one leg swollen and the other normal. I guess will have to take it day by day. cancer makes my body do things it has never done before. As far as healing, did NOT know it was possible on chemo? Hum.

I had my pie last night. drove slowly 2 blocks to pie place - had fish fry and some great pie for home. O how good at 9pm to have a slice and enjoy.

I had posted previously about my husbands CEA being 2700 at diagnosis. He just had another CEA test last week. That number has come back over 3300. He has had 3 treatments of Folfox6 at the time of the test. He started with Avastin during his 4th treatment. Does anybody have any insight to what is going on. I thought the CEA would come down. We have not consulted with his oncologist since we got the results of this test. We will see him next week. I think that maybe the treatments are not working or maybe it's too early to jump to any conclusions. Would appreciate any feedback Thanks!

Hi Carrie and Mameyann,

I am concerned that you might feel neglected on this thread. I'm so glad that you found and joined the Colon Club, and you will find many new friends here who will want to help you both. I think you've wandered on to the Stage IV patient thread in error. This thread was started by our dearly beloved (and now departed) Kathryn for just us stage IV patients to support and keep in touch with each other. We're specifically here (just on this thread only) to not feel compelled to offer advice or support to caregivers. Please don't misunderstand me though, we cherish and love our caregivers, and there specific threads just for you, too. The "WIVES" thread is not just for wives, but for anyone who is the caregiver to a stage IV patient,

I hope you will copy and paste your introductions/questions there.

Welcome to your new family at the Colon Club.

Best wishes to you both, and to your loved ones.

Sky and all,
I am still lurking (daily) but haven't posted because every body is going through so much and I am going through so little and still feel emotionally crappy. I think of everyone everday and pray for all my friends here but just don't want to whine. Sky, Bev, Gwen, Jeanette Ashley and all the old timers, I miss you and need to kick myself in the butt and get busy and post.

I understand taking a break, and I sure understand feeling a bit crappy about feeling crappy when things are not, after all, going as crappily as they could be. LOL. I feel like that, too. In the other world, I just feel crappy. In our world, so many are having a harder time. Weird balancing thing.

But -- bottom line -- I just love to see your name pop up and to keep in contact. We do have a wonderful, strong group of old-timers!

Thinking of you as I write that, Ashlee!!!

kinda quiet here lately

Gwen you ok? Ashley you ok? Candyman? how are you guys. Hope that all was good for mothers day and life goes on.

tomorrow get chemo and talk to doctor. crazy but new bucket list item, fell into my lap so I don't want to change chemo until after July. I get my MRI readings also tomorrow. don't care that much about them, I can tell by the breathing it is getting worst. People as starting to ask me - are you ok when I am gulping. Not to bad yet.

Big deal today got a mini split AC and Heat Pump installed. Now I am a desert rose so warm is normal. it is freezing at 80 with ac going. hum how do people live like that? winter pjs are on now.

Well hope all of you are well or fighting like hell. I am having a muffin and hot tea and playing on the computer.

I'm doing alright considering. Mouth sores and extreme fatigue are the main problem. I have a CT done on Friday and am trying not to think about it. I'm doing all I can do so stressing over it doesn't help. I get the results on Tuesday.

This thread more than any other here helps me retain my sanity. I was beginning to be afraid that it was dying on the vine and that was making me depressed about coming on the CC board. It was so good to see old and new timers posting.

Love you all ~
