The gas x pills are a good idea, never thought of that. Today was good for me. I'm like you Judy may have a little feeling of needing to empty more up to an hour after the enema, after that mostly good. I may pass some gas at night. I usually take a couple lomotil late morning which helps the rest of the day. Still, the daily enema has still been a life saver for me and made my life feel like normal.

I'm truly inspired by all of your successes and I'm happy for all of you. It's so liberating to feel like you've got your life back. Even with any "issues" I may have it is by far the best option for me. Maybe once a week or so, I take a day off from doing an enema and even for that one day I don't feel very secure and I wait all day to see if I'll "go." It usually happens at about eleven pm and keeps me up for a few hours. During that time I vow to myself that enemas are the only way for me to have any kind of a normal life. I like a lot of these suggestions and I'm going to try them. I've always had problems with hydration and I know I could do better with that. There are probably areas of my diet that could be tightened up too. I try to keep dairy to a minimum, but maybe I should eliminate that and any added sugar in my diet. I'm going to try gas-x too. It's all trial and error, but it's important to me. Thanks for all your helpful ideas.

I hope things get better for you Ann. I am too going to try the Gas X next time I have problems. Like you said, the daily enema is the best thing for me as it has given me a sense of normalcy. Like I told the Dr., the only negative is the fact that I have to do an enema to feel normal. But, if that 30 minutes a day can give me my life back that's fine. When I think of all the places and events I had to leave or not attend because of bathroom issues, or the stress I would feel going worrying about an issue arising without notice, I can't believe what a simple solution the enema is. Have a great weekend.
