Fistula fears

So discouraged... Having some symptoms pointing to possible colovaginal fistula. Just when I started enjoying life and letting my cancer guard down. Just cannot face another round of invasive tests, complex treatment plans,the specter of future post-radiation issues. First real bout of depression since original diagnosis. If anyone else has had this problem and is willing to share, please PM me. I fel like I am in for a world of trouble. Trying to swim frantically to the shores of normalcy.

That really really sucks. So sorry for you. It's really hard to accept how tough the journey to health remains even after the cancer is gone.

Thanks for responses everyone. I did check through the search link you gave me, CRGuy and did a couple more of my own. There are many kinds of fistulas and many pages to read but didn't find my situation. Anyone out there develop a fistula AFTER rectal cancer treatment and after reversal? I would really like to be in touch. Anyone know a GREAT fistula surgeon?
