My son told me the album I love by "Art of Dying" is called Let the Fire Burn

Hard to believe I started this thread back on 2008.

But music has always helped me get through the hard times.

And this music transcends more than cancer survivors. So I'm here today, looking for these tunes to help my friend. She is going through a divorce and because her husband is prominent in the community, is about to lose her job.

So I'm looking for updated tunes to inspire her when she gets ready for work in the morning.

I look forward to seeing your updated replies.... Thank you for always being here for me, when I need you.

Like Pammy, I'm mostly into inspirational and primarily southern gospel. I agree with her on the vote for Casting Crowns.
I also LOVE the Isaacs, The Collingsworth Family, The Crist Family, The Hoppers, Lauren Talley and of course, The Gaither Vocal Band. I listen to Enlighten on Sirius radio, and the songs just uplift you so much. I don't know if I'd get by without it.

Fight Song by Rachel Platter is a frequent one for me. I also go back to my 80's and 90's roots with Hang Tough by Tesla, The Last Mile by Cinderella, Tiny Dancer by Elton John, Tuesdays Gone by Skynrd is a sad one for me. More current songs, Between the Raindrops by Lifehouse, Not a Bad Thing by Justin Timberlake (reminds me of how much I love the hubs). Bodies by Drowning Pool, Alias by In Flames, just to name a few.

I think the singers on The Voice way outdo almost everyone that ever did American Idol.
