Oh Bev....never a dull moment for you, and I bet you would LOVE a dull moment! Wishing you amd hubby all the best. It sounds like alot of "stuff" will be thrown at you the next few weeks/months. You know the rules...take care of yourself, eat, drink, rest, BREATHE...and take everything one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time,,,and oh yeah....BREATHE.

We are hear for you when you need to take a time out...

Dear Bev,

So much going on. I had a friend who had a bone marrow done from a donor for Leukemia. She had the same procedure without the Dialysis infusion thing....hers was given like a blood transfusion. but she had the daily visits back to clinic. Her mom was a nurse so sometimes they let her mom draw the blood and travel or give an injection. They stayed together at Hope Lodge in NYC and went to Sloane. I'm not sure if there is anything like Hope Lodge in PA from the American Cancer Association but it was a god send. Everyone there was in the same boat so keeping everything disease free was the goal. One caregiver per person.
One Step at a time....Prayers coming your way.
Colonoscopy 3/10 for ? hemmorrhoid.
Diag Colon Cancer 3 days later
Colon Ressection 3/30/10
Stage 3B 5/14 Nodes positive.
Power Port and 7 months of Chemo
Port removed 11/11
8 negative Cat Scans..... 10 years cancer free and Discharged from Sloane Kett!!
Diag age 47 , now 57 Mom of 3 boys.

Bev

I had to read that post a few times! I'm dangling between awe that this can be done and confusion as to how you can manage to do all that's required. Wonderful to see byweoulfs uplifting post of a great outcome. You definitely need some help.
Best of luck with the meeting next week and hope things become clearer and easier

I don't sign in very often anymore, but I do check the boards before I start work everyday. Bev, I am praying for you and your husband. This treatment sounds promising and I wish you both the very best. I don't have any chickens on the property, but maybe 9 dogs doing the biscuit twirl might spread some love towards you! :)

I can't wrap my pea brain around this but I did take away that this is no easy task. Best wishes for you both, rest now for strength because it sounds like you two will be on full overdrive.
I am sending prayers for you both.

Like Nellie said, "My head is spinning" just reading what has to happen to get to a 30% result!! I'm sorta confused (shocker) about where he's going to be whiile his system doesn't have any immunity. I had assumed in the hospital but it sounds like, maybe, he'll be home part of the time?
Just know my prayers and DH's prayers are with you and Steve.
God bless ~

Wow, MY head is spinning just reading about it, I can't imagine how you are keeping it all straight. He's lucky to have you, Bev. Swinging virtual chickens (no actual ones here) and sending prayers your way.
