Moving to Hospice

Postby Newandscared » Sat Feb 09, 2013 10:16 pm

I have decided to move to hospice care. This is really not by choice; however it is in the best interest of those who are caring for me. It is now too much for them.

I have not posted here very often, but I have read many posts. I feel better because of this forum. I know I have not been alone. Small part of my life in comparison.

I have written a book over the past several years regarding my life. I only hope that it will be published upon my death.
Pen Name: William Frutger

I am not sure I am going to be able to post, read or even see the internet again, so I am saying goodbye.

Time to spend moments with my family and friends.

Dying is the greatest journey one will take in life. I will now try to enjoy it.

Here I come Lord. Get ready for me. I am one of kind.

Thank you all.

P.S: Please leave behind a message of hope for other on this thread and try to keep it going. That's what helped me.

I am ready.

My thoughts are with you and your family right now. You sound as though you are firm in your decision and that commands respect. I can't wait to read your book when it is published, I will be looking for it.

I can't wait to read your book. Make sure someone in your family can keep us informed on how you are doing. I realize this was a hard decision to make but I truly understand why. May the Lord place his hand on you and give you peace on this journey. I will pray for you and your family that this journey will be an easy one.

God Bless

Add music to your passing, the sounds will make that journey better. I am not sure only seen my father die, so freaked a bit with his light glowing eyes, scared me and yet felt so peaceful when he passed. He looks so happy that last second or two. Minister said it was rare but something so blessed. Hope my eyes glow bright green when my time comes.

You journey just begins - remember in the bible =john "with the glory I knew before the world began". Spirit goes on! IMO

You are not so new and not so scared, it seems. Thank you for your poetry. May you find peace, may you feel surrounded by love. I, too, will look for your book. Please ask a friend to post here. Blessings and lightness to you.

I'm just leaving for church but will remember to lift you in prayers today. I pray, especially, for your loneliness and that you are pain free.

I'll look for your words!
May you be surrounded by peace and love. May you have happiness and the cause of happiness. May you be free of suffering and the cause of suffering.
Godspeed, my friend.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.

Such a great way to look at it. And for those caregivers out there, i really believe after losing my dad many years ago that seeing someone through their final journey in life is an absolute privilege. I felt so good that i was able to provide comfort to my dad after all he had done for me. And thinking of it that way really helped me to enjoy my time with him while i could and put the grief aside for later.

Bon Voyage NewandScared and enjoy your travels x
