Good evening Ashlee,

Thank you for sharing such terrific news!

You have been such a source of important information and encouragement, this does sound like Karma.

Be well and keep up the good fight.

Best, Alan

However I am glad to hear about you, after a lot of differences we had/could have, that my post are helping you. -FEDE

Thank you all so much for joining in on the HAPPY DANCE with me. I still haven't heard from the ONC, but really don't expect to until tomorrow. I hope he is reviewing the scan with others before calling me back.

And dear FEDE you are a little too self confident that your posts are helping me. My decision to go on Metformin had nothing to do with any of your posts. My decision came through personal experience and talking about options with my ONC. Firstly, I want to make it clear that I have no clue if Metformin played any roll in my clean scan today. I'm sure FOLFIRI & Avastin are still circulating in my body.
For my personal experience, at the end of 2010, I went on a trial study where, in addition to FOLFIRI, I was given an unknown name drug that I was told was similar to the drugs given to Type 2 Diabetics. Those results should be published sometime this year. I stopped after 6 weeks due to a side effect (which they knew about) where I retained 20 lbs of fluid. It was not pleasant, and very painful. However, it did kill off the two areas in my Omentum that were glowing on the scan. Those areas were removed during HIPEC and cancer has not showed up again in the HIPEC area. My ONC has been aware of the research with Metformin. We've been talking about it for awhile.
So, FEDE, I know you will believe what you want to believe - but I do my own research with my own medical people. Sorry to say, I would not take medical advice from my CPA, co-worker, car mechanic, etc....although many friends have tried to give me advice on what I should be doing. I will tell you what I tell them....I'm glad you think this will cure cancer - be sure to try it out when you get diagnosed and let me know how it goes. At this point in time FEDE I do not see you as a viable researcher for me. I did not take Metformin based on anything you posted that you read about on the Internet. Again, I have no evidence - personal or otherwise - that Metformin gave me a clean scan today.
Now...back to my celebration....and it will include SUGAR and CHOCOLATE!

Thanks Ashlee, I always love your comments towards me... anyway... I am glad to hear about yours news... if you have something personal with me... no problem... I have not... you are not my target... my target is cancer....

If you have problems with CPAs.... or mechanism... it your problem not mine... I would take an advice of a homeworker if it helps me...

The best for you

Consider yourself pinched! I indulge in my Snickers bar every day. When I get a little irritable, my co-workers tell me to go eat my Snickers. That is one TV commercial I wish had never come out. At the risk of being optomistic, I hope you've made the turn in the road, and it's all downhill from here!
