Hi everyone
Just wanted to let you all know (especially newly diagnosed ) that here I am 5 years to the day of my colon cancer surgery.
I still check on here practically every day and post if I can add anything that hasn't been already said, this board has been my life line of help and information, I love it and all the amazing people on here and I miss all the lovely friends that we have lost, they are always in my thoughts.
I feel as if I have come full circle just lately and maybe left parts of me (mentally & physically) along the way
Life is wonderful again albeit definitely different to my "old" life, I can't quite believe I am here writing about 5 yrs later.
For anyone going through the awful treatment, it does get better eventually, I never anticipated just how long it takes, just keep believing !
I want to say a big thank you to all the close relatives and loved ones in our situation,
I almost think its worse for them sometimes, we the patient feel the pain etc we know how we feel ! but they are always wondering and worrying about us on the sidelines, ( an unenviable position)
I wish you all the best !
Thank you all for the endless sharing !
