No, but my surgery was in March, and it was about 80 degrees. Just kept getting warmer after that.
My first lung surgery was in October of 2010, and I skied all winter and don't recall any issues with breathing cold air. However, anything unusual you breathe--smoke, dust, cold air, etc.--is going to hurt for the first few weeks. But, as you know, if you keep up with the daily walks, you begin to see almost daily progress. I also found that taking a painkiller
before you do your walk isn't a bad idea if you can avoid getting run over. You're not slowed down as much by pain and as long as you don't overdo it, you'll get a better workout. JME.
