Hi there,
Diagnosed 12/7/12
30 year old female
stage 4b with a colon tumor (well right on the verge of rectum) 12cm tumor on left ovary, mets to liver, some lymph nodes, and spots in stomach lining
Started chemo on 12/26...xeloda pill form and iv infusion every two weeks of oxaliplatin and irinotecan
I should note that I have NO family history of colon cancer, polyps, anything. Also very minimal family history of ANY cancer...a great aunt on my fathers side who died of breast caner in the 1970's. That is it. I also was raised on a very healthy diet, have always been a healthy eater, lots of fish, organic, lots of veggies, minimal red meat, high fiber (love my lentils and kale!)
I was a smoker from the age of 23 until my diagnoses, kind of on and off...and I enjoy my alcohol consumption
Well, I did anyways...now it's lots of tea for me.
Good luck everyone!
