You know when you come on this board there are those you watch with intrigue as to how they handle their diagnosis. You are one of those that I watched. While other have gone you could see how you approached everything you did with a positive attitude and not afraid to share all your ups and downs. Your encouragement to others and support is what make you special. You did not let the C stop you from living!

While not in the same situation as you 3 years for me will be this Christmas Eve. I have a scan in mid December and once that comes back clean, I will join you in drinking a glass of my favorite scotch.

In the meantime here's to many more years and a "clink"! :D

There's no one for whom I root for or respect more. I didn't think 'recurrence' because I never doubt you're cured. I said it, you didn't, so it's okay.
Despite being cancer-free, please continue to educate and inspire us. If ever I get up the nerve to use the R word, I'd like to think you'll be reading and rooting for me.
Big congrats to you :D

What an incredible inspiration you are! This brought tears to my eyes. I just had my one year clear colonoscopy and am scheduled for my year scans next week. You have over this past year many times brought comfort assurance and a smile to my face. So happy to hear your news!

I somehow missed this thread, but want to say a late CONGRATULATIONS! You've always been such an inspiration with your positive attitude and skiing during Folfox. You were about a month behind my husband in treatments and he passed 3 years last month.
