I've been thinking a lot lately about the friends we've lost over the past year and it's just tool sad to have to add Rick to that list. He was a great guy.

So sad. Condolences to Mindy. I looked forward to Rick's posts. Rick helped a lot people out with grace despite his own challenges. We miss you Rick and thank you always.

:( Even when I know something like this is coming, it's so hard to accept. I'm glad that Rick was at least comfortable and with people who loved him at the end of his life. A huge loss for us here.

I'm so very sad to read that he's gone even knowing it was coming. He was such a help to everyone here, including me, with information, encouragement and friendship. I'm glad his going was peaceful and that he knew how much he meant to us here. I pray the family is at peace and will only retain the good memories of a wonderful man who used his waning energy to help others.
God bless you mightily, Rick!! And God bless us all for knowing him!

He knew that you were weary, and He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never be well on earth again.
He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be thine.

This just breaks my heart. I can't believe we've lost another to this disease.

Rick's input on the board was always so kind & helpful.

I will really miss him.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. Another good man lost to cancer. He was such a strong member of this forum/family. He listened, he joked, he probed, and he gave a ton of advice and support to those just starting out on this journey. My heart goes out to his family. We will miss his devoted, giving - and irreplaceable - spirit here. Rest in peace, Rick.
