Breathing Difficulty

Postby ssrik » Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:42 am

Hello,

Our doctor has ad vised to do ascites tapping whenever we feel breathing difficulty .
Just wondering how quickly breathing difficulty will come back to Normal after the Ascites tapping . Is it immediate or after few hours ?

When my ascites is bad enough to need tapping (about 3.5 lts for me), then it is pushing upward on the diaphragm and restricting good breathing.

Removal of the fluid immediately relieves the pressure.
Breathing is easier the moment you get out of the treament stretcher.

Good luck, it's really an easy and effective procedure.
