Even though I knew this was coming, and I'm glad she is out of pain, and I know that she made her peace with death, the tears still roll. Some people might not have clicked with her no-nonsense ways, but I did. Everyone could appreciate her knowledge, and she has given us so much. I appreciated her logical processing and willingness to face reality, while still not giving up. She realized that acknowledging facts and reality doesn't mean being negative or giving up, it just meant knowing right where you stand, as best as you can. It was so nice for me to find someone else who "gets" the way I think too. I am so glad I got to meet her and spend time with her at Call on Congress. Even though her health started downhill earlier that week, she still made the effort to come. She was dealing with a lot of pain, but pushed onward.

I have to change my luminary for her to in memory now. I'm glad to have been given the chance to have some memories of time spent with her.

This is very sad news. I hope she is in peace now. She helped many people on this board with her knowledge and I hope she knew she was appreciated. It just isn't fair.

We had a lot of differences in several topics, but anyway by P.M she offered me help when I need a contact to see images in the Anderson/Memorial, we have discussed a lot, but always maintaining respect, fortunately we have discussed about oncs, docs, but both in the same way, with the same target....

Really I am so sad, I am not ironic or hypocrite. I can not understand it. I have no words, only I am

Increible this awful disease. I wish peace for her. but I hate other lost.

Fede

I am so sorry to hear about Pat's passing. No matter how many times I read a post like this, even when it's expected, it feels like something just smashed into my chest. Another warrior is at peace. R.I.P. Pat and condolences to the family.

I was afraid I'd see this news when I came back here today. :(

Pat was a brilliant advocate for all of us. She made a difference. I will miss her frank, articulate contributions to this community, as will so many other people who learned from her.

But she would not have wanted sympathy or sentimentality. She was prepared for this, and she prepared all of us as honestly as possible. I'm glad that she isn't suffering any more pain.

Gaelen and Terry were both very excited when I got accepted into this trial. I think they were almost as excited as I was. That generosity of spirit and concern for other CC members welfare tells a great deal about these two amazing women.

Gaelen, I wish peace and sincere condolences for your family and friends.
