Stage III - pregnant again!

Postby Aventyr » Wed Jun 13, 2012 3:18 pm

Hi everyone,

When I was sick almost five years ago I promised I would write here again if everything went fine. So here I am!

May 06 First son Vilhelm is born, Im 30
Aug 07 Emergency ward - blood transfusions, dx Colon cancer stage III, operation tumour size of the surgeons hand and half of the urine bladder, Folfox 6 months, blood clot in the arm
Aug 09 Second son Olof is born - no complications
June 12 Pregnant again with third son!

Working full time between the kids (in an office). The only thing I have to think about is to go to the toilet right away when I have to...but its OK.

Im so happy for everything I have and I send Xmas cards with the kids to my surgeons. Im just so lucky that I lived somewhere on the earth where I could fast treatment when I and my family desperately needed it.

/Maria

Congratulations! There aren't many stories of 30-something women having children after a colon cancer diagnosis, so I'm bookmarking this to share with other women who ask. Best of everything to you and your growing family.

What a wonderful news. My wife at the age of 25 was diagnosed with 3b in January 2011. The Doctor said kids should not be a problem. But we did not see actual cancer patients having kids. we were told No kids for 3 years. Although we are dying to have our own child, as we both love kids; I am happy to wait till 5 years.

You have given us a BIG NEWS............. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU....

YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO MANY OF US....THANK YOU FOR SHARING
