I'm still here:)

Postby Terry » Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:45 pm

I heard rumor has it I may have passed away. Well, I'm still here:)! I was very sick up until the past few days. I had pneumonia for about 5 weeks that I could seem to beat.

I'm the type that when I'm that sick doesn't feel like talking, reading or writing. I apologize for making you all think I died. According to my docs the cancer is all over the place unfortunately and I have to use O2 the majority for the time when I'm up
walking around. I have this cough I cannot seem to shake either but it's better than it was 2 wks ago. My sore throat is completely resolved. YAYYYYYY:)

I have been accepted into a phase II trial on an antimicrobial drug called MORAb-004-202-CRC I'm actually the very first person to be accepted into it (not sure if she meant at all or here in WI). Anyway I'm excited and nervous at the same time. What I'm nervous about is they don't know what the safety factor is, frankly they don't know a while lot about any of it, but considering if I don't do anything the outcome will be death for sure so I'm willing to try it. The other drug (the one that starts with an R) had to much traveling and being away from my family. Hopefully I pray this will extend my life, put me into remission and even, God willing cure me:) How awesome that would be;)

Thank you for caring enough to ask about me. I'll try and come on more often with updates as I find out.

Love, hugs and prayers:) Terry

Terry, what a blessing to hear from you! Thanks for taking the time to update us. The pneumonia sounds scary. I'm glad you're on the other (better) side of it now. I'll be praying the trial drug works for you. Lots of love, light, and prayers coming to you from me and your "other family" here at the Colon Club!

Thanks for taking the time to update us. It is great that your sore throat is finally better, and you are up and around, even if you have to take your oxygen with you. I'm so glad you found a clinical trial that won't keep you away from family and home! I hope this drug works miracles for you.

(At least you didn't get any mail with condolences to your family on your death did you? Bill just had that happen with a letter from an insurance program - weird to open your mail and see that you died. Crazy automated world we live in, huh?)

Love you!

I just received a call from the clinical trial nurse. Found out that the darn steroid if it wasn't long ago enough couuld throw me out of the trial. Grrrr! I think it's been at least 3 weeks and she didn't say how long it had to be. Please pray I get in.

Thanks pollo65 and I heard something good, no great that you posted:) I'll pm you tomorrow about it. Yay for you!
