Olymphians - Finally - good news

Postby Ashlee H. » Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:13 pm

I finally got some very good news. I met with Dr. Lenz today. I can see why so many of you like him so much. He feels my lymph node and cancer markers are all still from the HIPEC/complications and feels I have no signs of cancer. Beginning immediately, I'm off the chemo. I'll have PET/CT in a few weeks, and then two months later have another scan. If tests are the same, then he feels cancer is not in the lymph node! I was so shocked when he told me. He agreed with my concern that my SUV on this node had never been over 3.6. He felt if it was in 6 or 8, then probably cancer. I am so happy to finally have a chemo break and hope it's a very long break. Off for the traditional happy dance....
