Thank you for all you letters. I really appreciate them all! I know the lonely days will still struck me, when all is gone and the house is empty, and I don't have to do everything for Peter anymore. But, I know he is at peace. We went to the funeral services today, I had to sign him of for cremation. We saw him for the last time, and he was laying there so peacefully! This is the picture I want to remember. Not the Peter that battled to breath on Tuesday morning. I am so glad me and the two kids and my MIL went there. Now we have a picture in our minds that looks better for the last time.
We are planning the best funeral for him - he was always good to us! Now it is time to give back. He has the most beautiful casket with a dome, and also silver bars on the side. He is going to be in the portal of the church when all the people come in. Then the minister will have the servcice, and read 8 eulogies of people who does'nt want to speak, because they are too emotional. Then we have to speakers, One Afrikaans one for our family, and then Peter's brother in law for his English family. Michelle prepared a power point presentation with songs in the background of his Friends, Family, Direct close family, and also himself. The power point presentations is about 14 minutes and she is so proud of that. She has "In the arms of the angels, Things my fater said, Song for my dad and another one playing while the people can wantch the photo's Then in the front of the Church we will have a big A2 picture that will be in a proffessional fram standing on a easel next to the flowers. Big bouquet of white different flowers. And the his personalized carregistration will be there PEM 007 GP. He got it back the day he went to hospital, and that is his trademark. I never tried to follow because mine would look like "IM 007", ( I am 007). How can I do that to him. We are expecting about 200 to 230 people at this stage. I really hope they all come. He would have really enjoyed his party!
As I said, we discussed his whole funeral on the easter weekend. We knew exactly what he wanted.! I think we are going to have a beautiful celebration of his life. Please hold thumbs!
Love to you all!
