The ileostomy gas can clear a room or house too, of course it is more controlled by simply burping the bag so it's a conscious decision to let it rip or Pffff as the case may be. You know it's bad when the dog leaves the room, problem is the gas leaves the room too, travels. I find lighting matches to be the most effective method of air freshener, a little febreze here and there. Keep candles burning in the bathroom. You can invite your husband to go in there.

Glad to hear it's temporary. Not sure how it will translate after takedown. Always something to look forward to...

No he hasnt got a bag ... He didn't need one , and I do send him to the bathroom , it's dosent matter which room hes in , it drifts , the whole house stinks , like I say even my dog clears off lol

I suspect that it will take a while for it to get back to normal. The chemo kills off all of those natural probiotic beasties and they take a while to reestablish themselves. I went to a seminar this week where he reminded us that, if we take probiotics, to take them on an empty stomach. He explained that stomach acid kills the little beasties and if you eat them with a meal, the acid kills them before they can do anything. Might as well flush the supplement.
