Tonight, Jim lost his battle with colon cancer. I told a 13, 10 , and 8 year old that I wasn't bringing their father home.
I'm numb

Husband Jim - dx Stage IV Rectal cancer 5/11 age 46
Mets to liver, lungs and nodes
KRAS mutant
Folfoxiri-B 6/11-8/11
Attempted liver resection 10/11 - not feasible
back on Xelox+Avastin +?? and looking for the next option!

Jen - I am so sorry to hear this. My condolences to you and your family. There just aren't words to say that can do much right now. Thinking about you, and hoping you get the strength and support you need to get through the coming days when your kids are going to need you so much, but you also need to take care of yourself.

May the good memories of Jim help your family get through this rough time.

I am so sorry to hear! How difficult it must be to tell your children at so young of age. I hope you have lots of suport around to help. Your husband said some kind and understanding words to me since I also have several young kinds. May he rest in peace.
