Belle,

No change is always good news. And as others have said, no uptake is great news.

Congratulations.

Hooray for NED!

You don't have to agree with your oncologist on chemo for life you know... You can check into options and second opinions. I did and it has bought me some fantastic time off chemo!!!! My oncologist said chemo for life too... he has changed his tune after I pressed him. Right now he sees no reason for me to be on chemo after a clear scan. I'm off Avastin and Irinotecan since October. I did daily radiation which ended 7 weeks ago. I had a clear scan last week, so for now - no treatments. Monthly CEA checks and I see the oncologist the end of April. If my CEA remains steady, no scan until 4-6 months from now, and no treatments. I needed this break badly, and I got it! We don't have to accept what the oncologist says without questioning and looking into options. If you are bothered by chemo for life, and aren't showing any active cancer right now - you might want to think about taking a break at some point.

Great news, Belle! I'm dancing for you since you have a headache! I know the cancer is not "officially" history, but I can tell from your posts that you live a life filled with gratitude and laughter, compassion and love. Wishing you many more years of NED!

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and support. I don't post as much as I used to, but I come here every day to read peoples stories and offer support where I think I can. It's funny, always - and I mean always - this is the first place I go to post news on my condition - good, bad or 'stable'. I don't even call my husband before posting results here. There's just something about this wonderful group that lets me know people here truly care and truly "get it". I've been here 4 years now or thereabouts and I am as grateful today to be a part of this group as the day I first found The Colon Club.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.

That is super great news - How wonderful is that to wait for results to get an all clear?! You did what you needed to do for now and had great results - what a way to start the year! Enjoy! That should be even more motivating with gardening time just around the corner :D
